A stroll through Hoi An
July 17, 2017
Magical Hoi An. A trip to Vietnam would be wasted if you didn’t go and get yourself lost in this stunning Old Town. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site back in 1999, and although used to be a main trading port in the 16th and 17th centuries, still exudes an eye-catching-in-every-direction amount of charm.
I fell in love with this place. Japanese designed bridges, Chinese Temples, French Colonial buildings, but still very much Vietnamese with conical rice hats topping not just heads. The food, the sounds, the colours… I would have loved to stay here so much longer.
Take a visual wander with me, if you will, through the streets of one of my favourite pockets of wonder…
